METHODS OF THERAPY
Unlocking your true mind
Whether we’re talking about anxiety, burnout, intergenerational wounds, or relationships, you will be met with professionalism, warmth, and deep respect.
EMDR
(Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing)
EMDR is a type of therapy that helps you feel better about painful memories. While you think about a tough experience, your eyes follow a moving object. This helps your brain process the memory so it doesn’t hurt as much or feel overwhelming anymore.
CBT
(Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
CBT is a type of therapy that helps you notice and change negative thoughts. It teaches you how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected, so you can handle stress, anxiety, or tough situations in a healthier way.
DBT
(Dialectical Behavior Therapy)
DBT is a therapy that helps you manage big emotions and reactions. It teaches skills like staying calm, handling stress, getting along with others, and thinking before acting. It’s great for people who feel overwhelmed or struggle with strong feelings.

FAQs
What types of clients do you work with?
I work with women and teen girls (ages 13 and up) who are seeking therapy through a culturally and faith-informed lens. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, identity struggles, trauma, or challenges in family and marital relationships. I also offer pre-marital counseling and couples therapy. Whether you’re facing something big or just need a safe place to talk, this space is for you.
Will I be judged for what I share?
Absolutely not. You will be met with compassion, not criticism. This is a safe, nonjudgmental space where your honesty—whether about your emotions, doubts, faith, or past—is honored with deep respect.
Do you accept insurance or offer sliding scale fees?
At this time, I do not accept insurance. However, I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on financial need. If cost is a concern, please reach out—we’ll discuss available options together.
Is this a religious service?
No. This is a professional mental health practice grounded in clinical training. If you choose, your therapy can incorporate faith-based reflections and Islamic values—but only if it feels meaningful to you. Many clients appreciate the balance of professional care and spiritual sensitivity.
Do I have to be Muslim to receive therapy here?
Not at all. While my approach is grounded in Islamic values and sensitive to Muslim cultural experiences, I welcome clients of all faith backgrounds—or none at all—with full respect, empathy, and confidentiality.
Do you work with teens?
Yes. I work with adolescents ages 13 and up. My teen therapy is designed to help Muslim youth navigate peer pressure, school stress, social media boundaries, identity exploration, and family dynamics. Sessions are confidential and culturally sensitive, with the goal of helping your teen build confidence and emotional resilience.
What should I expect in the first session?
The first session is about connection, not pressure. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, your goals, and what you’re hoping to get out of our work together. You’ll get to ask questions, set boundaries, and begin building trust—at your own pace.
Can I do therapy online?
Yes. I offer virtual sessions for clients located anywhere in Georgia. All sessions are held on a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform to ensure your privacy and comfort from your home.
